Watching my children grow into kind, confident human beings is the greatest reward of my life. Being a dad isn’t about being perfect—it’s about being present. Every hug, every laugh, every mistake we learn from, and every “Dad, I love you” reminds me that my greatest title isn’t something I earned at work or in life. It’s simply Dad.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I lost my father at a young age, and growing up, I didn’t have many of the opportunities other children had. My mother became my hero, sacrificing so much to give me a better life. Those experiences shaped the father I am today. I strive to give my children what I once wished for—not just opportunities, but my time, love, guidance, and presence. I want them to always know that no matter where life takes them, Dad will be there.
How would you use the $25,000?
I would use the $25,000 to help build a safe home for my mother in Sri Lanka. I’ve already bought the land, but completing her home is still a dream I’m working toward. She sacrificed so much to give me opportunities she never had. She is my first hero and taught me what love and sacrifice truly mean. Winning would give me the chance to finally give something back: a safe place she can call her own.
