I love being a dad! I love playing and making her laugh. I love supporting her with her will and determination to overcome everyday simple tasks we take for granted like walking, standing, feeding herself, and trying to talk.etc. I love engaging and having her interact with anything and everything. I love to watch her grow physically and mentally. I am astonished to see what she can accomplish. Her comprehension amazes me and use of devices to help communicate is incredible.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I was blessed to have a dad who really was there for us kids growing up. As Jaya’s dad, I want to establish a strong foundation and ensure that she feels love and support. It has not been an easy road and she has extra steps that a normal toddler her age finds with ease. I want to be able to give her the stability and devotion so she is comforted knowing there is support. Bottom line, I cannot stress how pivotal these years are for her and to be able to provide this would be monumental.
How would you use the $25,000?
We have Jaya in a special needs private school and it is not cheap. Part of it will go towards her education. Our home is safe and practical but we would love to ensure that we have more safety measure for disability for Jaya to be able to maneuver with confidence. I also have home projects such as landscaping and gardening I have placed on hold. I’d love to beautify our home as well. In all, these are modest and truly humbling projects I can use these funds for.
