I didn’t know I could love someone I didn’t know this much. Seeing them grow and learn new things. My boys are 2 years old and every week they are someone different and I love every version of them and we have so much more growing to do . I love the midnight cuddles when they wake up when they are sick and just want Papa to hold them as tiring as it may be . I love coming home from work and see them run up to me . I still can’t believe that’s such little beings can fill me with so much love.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
It’s my duty is to equip my kids with the necessary tools to navigate this thing we call life. I want them to know that they are loved I want them to feel safe and I want them to know that they can always come home. Home will always be their safe place. Growing up i didn’t have the best relationship with my father even though he was a great man . I don’t want my boys to grow up and feel like I don’t understand them or that I don’t care or that I didn’t at least try
How would you use the $25,000?
Im originally from Suriname in South America. My mom has only seen my boys through video calls. She’s 77 with a heart condition and every time we call she tells me how she longs to hold them. Part of the money would go to funding a trip to go see Oma Bollie (Grandma Bollie)
