Seeing my kids become their own amazing people with just the right amounts of me in them. The older two becoming adults and moving out was hard. Still getting phone calls and visits just because they want to spend time with me is amazing. Every day my kids show me how good of a dad I am. They show me in the way they handle life, friends, and their surroundings.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I strive to be the best dad because I know what is like to have one that didn't try. A teacher asked me in high school what I wanted to be when I grew up. I was given three lines. 1- A good father, 2- a good husband, 3,- a good provider. But a provider of a safe and loving home. Anyone that knows me knows I'll always choose family time above overtime. Money can always be figured out somehow. Lost time with family cant.
How would you use the $25,000?
Down payment on a home. So my kids always have a home to come to. My wife and I have maybe a few years before we have grandkids running around. After my grandma died, I took the torch as head of family and gatherings. After financial trouble a few yrs ago, we had to move to a smaller house. I want a place my kids can always come back to and that our whole family can gather as they go out into the world and our family grows
