Watching my kids become their own people. Seeing them discover what they’re capable of, develop their own interests and perspectives, and knowing I get to help give them the confidence and foundation to go out into the world and build a life that’s truly their own.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I strive to be the best dad I can be because I know what it feels like to grow up feeling different. I was severely overweight as a kid and often felt like I didn’t quite fit the mold. I also learned differently and was intensely curious about the world. Those experiences shaped how I parent. I want my kids to know they are loved for who they are, while also giving them the confidence and tools to become whoever they choose to be.
How would you use the $25,000?
I’d use the money to give my kids more opportunities to discover who they are and what they’re capable of. Things like jiu-jitsu, travel, outdoor experiences, and healthy food aren’t cheap these days, but they’re investments I believe are worth making. I’d also put some toward our home and business, creating more stability and freedom for our family and community so we all can grow stronger, together.
