The most rewarding part of being a dad is watching my kids push themselves. Being able to show them how to be the best human beings they can be, and then seeing it come to life is more rewarding than words can describe. When they ask to learn something, then put the teaching to work and show the world their abilities and kindness. It's humbling, it shows that kids learn by example and that they are honed in on the teachings. My kids are resilient and dedicated, it's pure joy watching them grow.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
My dad worked his butt off, work came first. He provided, showed us that dream are possible with hard work. I watched him sacrifice so much, learned, and took the best parts of him to become a better dad to my kids. I want my son to be a better man than me, and I want my daughter to know what a husband should do and be towards her and her future children. I never want my kids to settle, for that I set the bar high for them. I want them to know life isn't fair, and you have to be tough.
How would you use the $25,000?
My kids love the outdoors, we purchased a home last October that needs some updating. Their bedrooms could be remodeled as they grow into young men and women. I would use it to finish the basement for a family room for all of us to enjoy as well as a backyard fire pit so we can enjoy it as a family. Showing them that you can always make things better with a little sweat equity and hard work the 25,000.00 would go a long way for us to re do our home.
