Being a dad is honestly one of the best things in life. What means the most to me is watching my kids grow and seeing them take the things I’ve taught them and actually use them in their own lives. I love seeing the moment when they start to understand why I taught them certain things. Watching them grow, learn, make their own decisions, and become good people makes me proud. At the end of the day, knowing I played a part in who they are becoming is one of the greatest rewards of being a dad.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
Because I didn’t have a father growing up. I know what it feels like not to have that person there, and I promised myself my kids would never have to feel that way. I never want my children to say, “I don’t know my dad” or “I don’t see my dad.” I want them to always know that their dad is there, no matter what. I’m not perfect, but I give my kids everything I have. Being there for them, teaching them, watching them grow, and seeing them become good people means everything to me.
How would you use the $25,000?
If I win the $25,000, the first thing I would do is put some money down on a house for my family. That’s something I really want for us. I would also pay off some debt and get a family car. Our van broke down, so right now we’re using my car, and it’s honestly too small for all of us. I wouldn’t look at the $25,000 as money to just spend. I would use it to help my family, take some pressure off, and get us closer to having our own home and a reliable vehicle. That would mean a lot to me.
