Being a dad to my two daughters, Leigha (11) and Laila (5), is one of my greatest blessings. Watching them grow, dance, serve in church ministries, and succeed in school fills my heart with pride. My favorite moments are our Daddy-Daughter dates, where we make memories and I show them the love, respect, and kindness they deserve so they’ll always know how a man should treat them.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I strive to be the best father I can be because I want my daughters to grow up safe, loved, and confident in who they are. I want them to chase every dream and become wonderful citizens of the world. I hope to spare them some of the hardships I faced, while preparing them for the unique challenges they may encounter as young Black women. Above all, I want them to know they are capable, worthy, and never alone.
How would you use the $25,000?
I would like to go back to school to finish my graduate degree. The rest of the funds would be used to take the whole family on vacation. The dream destination is Seychelles.
