When my children learn from their mistakes. They will fail, more times then they will succeed. It's what they do after they fail and when I see them fail and then NOT GIVE UP and overcome that obsticle, the joy that is in their eyes does not compare to the joy in my heart. I tell them often, my job is to provide them with enough knowledge that when they get to a crossroad they have enough knowledge to make the best decision for them at that very moment! I celebrate success and failure.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I was born to be their dad. It's the greatest thing I have ever done and ever will do. I strive to be the best because I am the example they will use when they become parents. They have seen and will see struggles, and that's great! I tell them to try and learn something new everyday. About themselves, about life, about others. I tell them that because I still learn things everyday.
How would you use the $25,000?
I haven't not taken them to visit their grandparents in many years, who they ask to visit ALL THE TIME. They live in Rhode Island while we live in FL. I would take them to visit their grandparents and I would take my kids to all the places that my parents took me growing up. My kids have heard my stories about camping, hiking, and fishing and have asked to do the same. I would spend the entire $25,000 on an experience they will never forget!!
