The most rewarding part is watching the lessons we teach on our farm take root in my girls. they're learning to raise food, Care for animals solve problems and take on challenges but I'm most proud of when those lessons follow them beyond the farm. I see it in how they treat their friends, serve their community, and step into leadership through scouting, guiding and 4-H and chase their own goals watching them grow into capable, kind and confident young woman is an incredible privilege.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
Because one day, my girls won't need Dad the way they do today. I know I only get these years once and I want to use them well. I want each of my daughters to grow up knowing she was loved, believed in and worth showing up for. Someday they'll face the world I can't protect them from so my job is to give them the confidence, values and strength to face it themselves. If they grow into women who know their worth, chase what matters and lift others up I'll know I did my job.
How would you use the $25,000?
I'd use the $25,000 to rebuild the heart of our family home our kitchen we live in a 1940s farmhouse and our tiny kitchen is long overdue for some love. we grow and raise much of our own food and cooking, baking, canning, and preserving together are a huge part of our family life. a new kitchen would give my girls and me room to work side by side passed down skills and traditions, share good food with each other and create memories together for years to come.
