Probably coming home after being gone all day and seeing their genuine happiness as I walk in the door. I love when they want me to play football, or baseball, or draw pictures with them, take them surfing or skating, or when they ask about how I learned these things as a kid. I love watching them grow, try new things, and find success in those new experiences. Being a dad, and seeing their happiness gives me the feeling that I'm doing something right, and that makes me feel warm and fuzzy
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I want them to grow up and look back at their childhood and say, "that was the best time when dad did 'this' or 'that' with us". I want them to have the confidence in themselves to approach a situation, and even if they have no idea how to do something, they have the life skills and talents to learn how to educate themselves. I want to be that dad that they can always call and ask my advice knowing that they saw me try my hardest with them, knowing that they are the center of my life
How would you use the $25,000?
well, they really want a soft serve ice cream machine but I feel like the old fashioned ones you have to put a little elbow grease into to make the ice cream would be fun, but in all seriousness, probably put most away towards their futures, maybe pay off a little debt so we can stack more away in college funds, pay for the ridiculously expensive club soccer uniforms and cleats, new baseballs, flag football gloves for my daughter, some flowers for my wife, who is the real glue of the family
