Being able to share every day moments, and to be able to be present to assist them when they need anything or have any questions. It feels great to be present to watch them grow, and remember when they got their first scooters, and assembling their first bikes. Now i’m blessed to share the honor of teaching them how to drive, watch my oldest son start college. This year my youngest son and daughter are seniors in high school, so it felt great getting their senior pictures scheduled.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I strive to be the best father that I can be, so that I can give my kids something I didn’t experience growing up. I grew up in a single parent home watching my mom do the best she can do sometimes working two jobs at a time, and washing cars on the side. My father did the best he can for me. Though he stayed over a 1000 miles, I traveled to visit him during summer vacations. I want to be a Godly example to my children on how to treat and respect others. I want them to see that marriage works.
How would you use the $25,000?
If i’m blessed to win this contest, I will donate proceeds to struggling single parents to provide sneakers for their children. I will use some of the money to pay for some of my oldest son, who’s enrolled in the barber program at Shelton state university tuition fees. This money will also lighten the load of purchasing necessary graduation items for my two youngest kids, who are seniors this year. Also I will use some of the funds to take my family on an amazing much needed vacation.
