The most rewarding parts of being a dad are seeing my daughter grow into an amazing young woman. Things feel so difficult sometimes, they seem so stressful - but the moments where I come home and she runs into my arms makes it worth it. I love knowing that I have a forever best friend in my daughter. She’s so gentle, sweet, kind, and loving - she is the best parts of me and I wouldn’t change being her dad for the world.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I strive to be the best dad that I can be so I can give my daughter everything that I possibly can and opportunities I didn’t have as a kid. I want her to grow up knowing that her dad did everything he could and worked as hard as he could to give her the best life that he could. I try my hardest to show her that no situation is impossible and she can get through anything. I always make sure her feelings are heard and validated, allowing her to be the best that she can be.
How would you use the $25,000?
I’ve always dreamed of being able to provide a forever home for my daughter. Growing up, that wasn’t something we had. I’d use the 25,000 to purchase a home where, for years to come, she can come to and always have a place to call home. I don’t want anything for myself, I just want to be able to give my daughter the stability she deserves.
