The most rewarding part of being a dad is the irreplaceable bond with my children. The deep, unconditional connection built through everyday moments and milestones. Watching them grow from dependence into their own person, sharing firsts, and receiving their love creates purpose and joy. Being their safe place and seeing my influence reflected is profound. That trusted relationship is the core reward.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
Growing up without a dad has made me realize how important it is to show up for my kids. Some of the best moments have been the days I’m most tired or least enthused about plans but they end up being core memories for my kids that they talk about for years. I want my kids to grow up and remember me as always being there, and always being loving and supportive in every adventure and for every idea they have. I hope that my kids will reflect on my parenting as inspiration when they become parents.
How would you use the $25,000?
We have lots of hobbies, dance, cycling, fishing, golf, power sports, camping, tennis and more. I would use the money to pay for my daughters dance classes and competitive dance season and for my sons BMX race bike and equipment for next year. It would also be nice to take my family on a small vacation since we haven’t been able to in a couple years. Anything left over could go to school supplies or maybe into a rainy day fund for new books and games, and for trips to the museums and zoo’s.
