The most rewarding part of being a dad is watching my daughter grow into the best version of herself. Seeing her overcome challenges that once seemed impossible fills me with pride. We share a fun relationship built on humor, and I love when she gives my jokes right back to me. Creating memories together and passing down the values I learned growing up means everything. Most of all, I’m grateful she’s become such a kind, humble, and strong young person.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
The reason I strive to be the best dad I can be is to prepare my daughter for a successful future. I want to instill strong values that inspire her to help others, lead with kindness, and make a positive impact on the world. One of my proudest moments as a father is seeing others recognize her potential and encourage her to take on new challenges, whether in sports, academics, or everyday life. Watching her rise to those challenges with confidence and determination makes me proud.
How would you use the $25,000?
Recent immigration policies have made document renewals increasingly difficult for many families. As a DACA recipient who has lived in the U.S. since I was two years old, I understand these challenges firsthand. My goal is to raise awareness about DACA, support those navigating similar struggles, and give back to my community. I also hope to launch a podcast highlighting inspiring stories of individuals affected by immigration policies, showcasing their resilience, contributions, and impact.
