When you watch your grown child and how they handle themselves. You see how they handle adversity. You observe how they make decisions based on what you have taught them. It makes me proud to know our son graduated from college and was able to obtain a great job. I enjoy getting to hang out with him now and getting to share some of his interests. He just purchased a new boat and invites us boating with his fiancé and him. He owns a beautiful home that he’s proud of, and that gives me pleasure.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I strive to be the best dad I can be, because I want to be like my own father. I want my son to be confident and happy. I want to provide emotional security and help build a strong foundation for his future. I want to demonstrate kindness, honesty, and integrity. I want him to also see how I love and respect his mother, so he will know how to treat his wife. I want to be present and involved in his life. It has always been my priority to keep my family actively involved in church.0’
How would you use the $25,000?
I would take my wife, my son, and my daughter I law on a trip to Europe! I love family adventures! We could explore new places together.
