Seeing what accomplished adults that we have raised. Seeing the kids succeed and fail and being there for support is also important. While we try to let them learn by experience, we will always be there to lift them up or celebrate with them.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
Hard work early on pays off. Setting schedules, creating good habits and setting expectations is how it starts to grow young adults. Then, later as teens they know what the expectations are and have good ethics and morals. For example, seeing my kids open doors for strangers or helping someone on the street that needs help.
How would you use the $25,000?
We would put this towards our house. We almost own our house, so the sooner we can pay it off, the better. Also, we are trying to start a food trailer and had to use some equity for our portion of the business plan. This would go a long way towards our goal of home and business ownership.
