Being there for my twin boys. When something breaks, we fix it together. When they can’t figure out homework, we solve it together. When they want to get better at sports, we practice together. I want them to understand that when life presents challenges that they have to work to find ways to solve them.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I had a father who taught me how the world works. It’s from him that I got my hands on approach to life. I want my kids to not be afraid to tackle broken dishwashers, car oil changes and difficult people. They need to understand that life is a series of obstacles that need to be overcome. They need the life literacy to be able to deal with them.
How would you use the $25,000?
I would likely put a chunk into their college funds. Then a portion would go to their baseball needs. I’d have to use some on myself because dads need love too!
