The feeling of how proud I can be, when my daughters can accomplish something. Even when they just try their hardest. My daughter with Down Syndrome trys her hardest and the excitement on her face when she finds out she can do something and runs to me and hugs me is what its all about. My youngest has tried her hand at different sports/dance and has over come her fears. Their sense of pride and accomplishments makes my heart burst with pride.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I come from a farming background. All work no play, my father wasnt as present as I wanted him to be even to this day. I have some resentment toward him for this and I never want my kids to have that feeling as a kid, teen or even an adult. I want them to know that I will always be there and be their number 1 fan. I was pushed out for joining the military and making my life better and I want my kids to know that I will be there no matter their decisions and choices in life.
How would you use the $25,000?
My wife and I recently bought an older house and have been making renovations to better fit our family. This money would go towards the next project or possibly adding a 2nd bathroom (3 girls 1 guy) to our house.
