The most rewarding part is watching my son, Maverick, become his own little person—and knowing I get to help shape the man he’ll one day become. Whether we’re having a big adventure or just talking before bed, seeing him feel loved, safe and confident means everything to me. Being his dad has given my life a purpose bigger than anything I could accomplish on my own.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I didn’t grow up consistently hearing “I love you” or “I’m proud of you” from my dad, so I made a promise that my son would never have to question either one. I strive to be the best dad I can be because the way I love, lead and show up for him today will shape how he sees himself—and how he loves others tomorrow. I won’t always get it perfect, but I’ll always be present.
How would you use the $25,000?
As a single father building a business and pursuing a better future for my son, this money would create something incredibly valuable: stability. I would put it toward securing our future, growing my business and creating experiences with Maverick that he’ll remember for the rest of his life. It wouldn’t just relieve financial pressure—it would give me more freedom to be present during the years with him I can never get back.
