The most rewarding part of being a dad is seeing your children exemplify the traits you work so hard to instill in them. Seeing my boys act like gentlemen, be kind and generous, excel in their studies, and love the Lord is more rewarding than I can put into words. I know that my three boys will be an example of what a young man is supposed to be for their little sister, and protect her. Even when I think I’m tough on them they still wrap me up and tell me they love me, and know that I love them.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I strive to be the best dad that I can be so that my kids will always know and remember how much I love them. Remember the foundation we built together in life and that it carries them through hard times. I lost my father when I was 18, and almost 20 years later I still miss my father and remember all the joy we shared. I pray that I stick around a long time for my kids, but regardless I want them to always know I am there for them, they are never alone, and I am proud of them.
