The most rewarding part of being a dad is watching the little people you helped raise become incredible adults—and realizing that somewhere between the lectures, mistakes, hugs, bad dad jokes - they were actually listening. Then one day they make you proud, become parents themselves, and you realize you did something truly meaningful. And then come the grandkids—God’s way of saying, “Good job. Now you get to enjoy them without doing all the hard parts 🙂
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I strive to be the best dad I can be because fatherhood is the most important job I’ll ever have. My daughters may forget my lectures, ignore my advice, and pretend my jokes aren’t funny, but I hope they always remember that I showed up. Being a great dad isn’t about being perfect—it’s about being present, dependable, loving, and supportive. At the end of my life, I won’t measure success by titles or possessions, but by the women my wife and I raised and the family we built.
How would you use the $25,000?
I’d spend it the same way I’ve tried to spend my life as a father—creating memories with the people I love. I’d take my wife, daughters, sons-in-law, and granddaughters on an unforgettable family vacation. Not because we need more “stuff,” but because time together becomes more valuable as life gets busier and the family grows. If anything left over, I’d save it for the next family adventure—because apparently being a Superdad eventually turns into being a Super granddad.
