Being able to teach my kids hard work and dedication pays off. I'm a heavy equipment mechanic and my body is beaten and bruised. I still get up every day to make a living. I may not be a perfect but I do my best to make their lives easier. Teaching them to work smart and not harder. Harder only wears you out more quickly and they will be 50 like me with back problems.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
We are a blended family and I have always been their for all the kids. There is no half or step in our house. They all at some point have needed guidance and advice. I'm glad they came to my wife and I. I try to teach them from my mistakes. Help them to be more aware of spending wisely or saving. Teach them if they can help someone do it. Life is to short to think you are above anyone. Everyone needs help from time to time.
How would you use the $25,000?
If I had $25,000 I would be able to fix somethings around the house and finally be able to fix my wife's vehicle so we can get that back on the road. I would also use some of the money to take my family somewhere. Having 7 kids certainly made it difficult to do things as a family. We also financially help my Mom more so since my Dad passed away. So I would help her out as well.
