Being able to see these teenage kids who have been forced to carry adult problems be able to be a kid again. Not worry about being hard or fending for themselves, but let their guards down and ke a kid. Seeing the vulnerabilty and curiosity return to their eyes is the only reward I need. Its the most amazing experience!
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
Because there are so many kids who have never experienced what its like to have a dad. So my heart, bot my desire or on purpose, challenges me to be very intentional in providing tge best dad experience. Many times I am fighting with poor examples of dad, mom, adults that are embedded by trauma from their past experience. One on my children asked, " Why do dads leave" This forced me to be the most present dad possible for that child, who is now an amazing father of 4.
How would you use the $25,000?
I would completed the renovation on my home and create additional rooms for more kids I take in to my single parent dad home to take more young boys off the street and teach them to be real dads.
