The most rewarding part of being a dad is being the fixer when things need fixing—because “Daddy can fix anything.” But it’s also showing my daughter that hard work doesn’t have to be a chore; it’s the process that helps us grow into strong, capable people. The greatest gift of fatherhood is watching your love, effort, and guidance grow into a beautiful person. Being the man your child needs also forces you to recognize where you need to grow—and become better yourself.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I strive to be the best dad I can be because my daughter is watching. I want her to see that hard work, discipline, failure, resilience, and love can build the life you want. I work a full-time job, train and compete as a professional fighter, and still want to be the dad who makes her laugh, listens when she needs me, and shows up when it matters. I want her to grow up knowing she is loved, believing in herself, and never afraid to become the strongest version of herself.
How would you use the $25,000?
I’d use the $25,000 to build something with my daughter that she can grow with and cherish—a treehouse and play area that evolves as she does. I want the memories to come from designing, building, and creating it together. But more than anything, I want her to look at it years from now and say, “My dad built that for me.” Knowing I created something with my own hands that brought her joy and lasting memories would mean everything to me.
