Seeing my daughter smile and grow everyday. Envisioning the future I want to build for her. Coming home from work and holding her up and watching her eyes lock onto mine. Knowing that I will do everything to give her the best possible life and set her up for success. She is currently six weeks old, but she has so much personality already and I love her reacting to my presence. All the long nights, witching hour, pterodactyl screams are all worth it.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I firmly believe in leaving things better than when you had them. Returning shopping carts, helping clear tables when dining out. I wanted PRO-create. To be the best example of not only a decent human being, but a leader. Doing the right thing when no one is looking in hopes that she can be apart of a generation that brings perspective and humility back into the real world.
How would you use the $25,000?
I would largely invest in her savings. I would also use some of it to help start up a business venture I have been thinking of recently in order to create some generational wealth as well as bring some culture and memories for my daughter to embrace and pass on. I would love to open a Puerto Rican restaurant, not only to bring some flavor and culture to where we live but for something for my daughter to have that’ll serve both her and the community.
