Watching my kids become the people I hoped they would be and realizing I had a small part in it. The best moments aren’t the big milestones; they’re the little ones: a conversation in the car, a ridiculous family adventure, or seeing one of my kids do the right thing when nobody is watching. Being their dad has taught me that the greatest legacy isn’t what you leave behind, it’s who you help build.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
Because my kids are watching. I spent 24 years in the Marine Corps learning about leadership, responsibility, and service, but fatherhood taught me the most important lesson: leadership starts at home. I want my kids to know they are loved, supported, and capable of more than they think. I don’t want to simply tell them how to live,I want to show them through my actions. My goal isn’t to raise perfect kids. It’s to raise good, confident, compassionate adults who make the world around them better
How would you use the $25,000?
I’d turn it into memories and opportunity for my family. I’d take my wife and kids on an adventure together, something they’ll still talk about years from now and use the rest to help invest in my kids’ futures. After years of serving my country, the greatest reward is having the freedom to spend time with the people I served it for. If I won, I’d make sure every dollar helped my family experience something, learn something, or build something together.
