Watching my daughter learn about the world with such joy, respect, and charisma is my absolute favorite part. It brings it full circle when my wife and I sidebar about how proud we are for making such a special human. It makes me proud to give her the things in life I never had like traveling abroad while also teaching patience and persistence in this world of instant gratification. My wife and I can’t wait to bring more beautiful children into the world.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I strive to be the best dad I can be to be living example illustrating the process of becoming the person my daughter and future children can be. I want to show my children that life is beautiful, and we’re all blessed to take a breath each day—so let’s enjoy it to the fullest and appreciate the little moments along the journey. Life can also be difficult, but I want to show them that the difficult path a person chooses can be the difference between trial and triumph.
How would you use the $25,000?
Part of it will be an investment in my daughter’s financial future so time compounds before she can spell “interest”. Another part will be for her experiences from recreations like sports and music to traveling and learning from global adventures. The last part will help strengthen our home base so I have more support when I come home every night. Winning wouldn’t change how I show up for her. It would just let me build faster for the future I’m already working toward.
