It's most definitely the opportunity to mold a young human into a competent and confident adult, and watch them grow into a thriving vessel of success. But that includes the bad times and showing them, through what you learned in your life, how to persevere and improve themself in spite of their failures or perceived failures.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
There are multiple reasons. One, admittedly, is societal pressure, and the weight dads feel (rightly or wrongly) to be providers. I wanted to be a dad so I could show my child the best way(s) I know to get through this thing called life. It's not a perfect science, but we do our best. I also want to teach my kid to be someone who can contribute to making the world a better place for all, while also myself making the world better for her and our family.
How would you use the $25,000?
Not going to lie, there's a little bit of debt that needs paying off. But I would also take my family on a grand vacation, and there are a couple organizations I care about that could use a little help.
