Knowing that everything you do is for the betterment of your child and seeing them grow. It feels overwhelming at first and still does now but you take this helpless little person and just pour everything into them. You don’t sleep for weeks, you lay on the floor and try to get them to roll, you spend all day singing silly songs just to make them smile, and you reprioritize everything in your life because the only thing that matters it making sure your baby grows up happy and strong.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
That is what my faith calls me to do and that is what my dad did for me. I want to raise a person who is someone I would want to be around. I want my son to grow up and have every opportunity possible to chase what he wants, and hopefully one day he can look back and realize I was doing that for him, and then pour that much of himself into his family.
How would you use the $25,000?
Honestly, I would save it for a college fund and to help my wife and I be more comfortable. With the cost of daycare, our monthly budget is a good deal tighter than before, so this would just allow us to breathe easier and have the ability to pay for any untimely repairs of our house. In fact, the main reason I signed up for this was the opportunity to help provide for my family just a little bit more.
