The most rewarding part about being a Dad, is passing on the skills I have learned through life to my children, as well as providing them with the knowledge/experience that I wish I had as a kid. Seeing their personalities grow and being part of their successes/opportunities along the way but most importantly is the trust and connection I feel when I get home from work and my daughter, Lyna, comes up to me in her walker with that look in her eyes and she gives me the longest strongest hug ever!
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
My children inspire me to be the best Dad I can be. Watching my 11 yr old daughter overcome obstacles from cerebral palsy through years of therapies, surgeries, and an unwavering positive attitude, has shown me the power of perseverance. I carry forward the lessons of my Dad, who overcame hardships of his own as he grew up without a father. Just as he sacrificed to create opportunities for his children, I hope to give my kids the same foundation of love, support, and belief in what is possible.
How would you use the $25,000?
$25,000 would help provide life-changing therapies, adaptive equipment, home modifications, and educational support for my children. For my oldest daughter(11), adopted from Poland at 18mo and living with spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy, it would fund resources that build independence and help her continue achieving milestones once thought impossible. It would be an investment in opportunity, inclusion, and a brighter future for all three of my children.
