Watching them grow into their own person is the greatest reward I could ever have! It’s the little things that last the longest, laughs, adventures, conversations, hugs, and even the cries. We get through it all together. Just being part of their lives, helping them discover who they are and creating memories they’ll carry long after they’re grown and I’m gone makes every struggle worth it. There’s no title, accomplishment, or possession that could ever mean more to me than simply being Dad.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
My kids are watching more than they’re listening. I want them to see that life can knock you down and you can still get back up, love your family, laugh, dream big, and keep going. I won’t always get everything right, but I can always show up. I want my kids to grow up knowing they were loved beyond measure, that I believed in them and that wherever life takes them, they will always have a home, a family, and someone that has their back!
How would you use the $25,000?
That much money could do a lot for our family! First, I’d put a good portion toward my daughter’s college she started this year. Then some new school clothes, shoes, and sports gear for my son. We’d stock up the kitchen, take care of some everyday family needs, and if I managed not to spend it all on the kids, I’d use whatever was left to make a memory together, maybe a family trip to California to finally teach the kids how to surf… while I watch of course! Lol
