Seeing the world become new again through my kids’ eyes. The hugs, the laughs, the “Papa, watch this!” moments—those are the things I’ll remember forever. But the greatest reward is knowing that, to them, I’m home. I get to be the person they run to when they’re excited, scared, proud or hurt. Watching them grow while knowing I helped make them feel loved, safe and capable is something no achievement could ever match.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
Because I learned early how much a father can shape a child’s life—both by being there and by not being there. I want my kids to grow up never questioning whether their dad loved them, believed in them or showed up for them. I won’t be perfect, but I can be present. I want them to remember a childhood filled with adventure, laughter, lessons, affection and a dad who made them feel like they could take on the world.
How would you use the $25,000?
I’d use it to buy something money rarely gives parents: more time with my kids. I’d put part toward their future and use part to create experiences we’ll remember long after the money is gone—traveling together, exploring new places and making memories while they’re still little enough to want Dad beside them for everything. $25,000 would be wonderful, but turning it into years of family stories would make it priceless.
