The most rewarding part of being a dad is watching my kids become their own people. Seeing them gain confidence, discover their passions, overcome challenges, and show kindness when they don't know anyone is watching makes me incredibly proud. I know they're learning from how I work, how I treat people, and how I handle failure. I don't need them to grow up wanting to be like me. I just want to help them have the confidence and character to become the best versions of themselves.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I strive to be the best dad I can be because my kids only get one childhood, and I only get one chance to be their dad through it. I want them to look back and know that I showed up—not just for the big moments, but every day. I want them to know they were loved, supported, challenged, and always had someone in their corner. I won't always get everything right, but I can always keep learning, growing, and doing better for them. Being their dad is the most important job I'll ever have.
How would you use the $25,000?
I would invest the $25,000 into our family farm and the future we're building for our kids. My wife and I are working to create something that provides for our family while teaching our children where food comes from, the value of hard work, and what it means to serve your community. This money would help us improve the farm, expand what we can produce, and give us more financial breathing room to spend less time worrying about making ends meet and more time making memories with our kids.
