I get to see the things that I did wrong from my past in real time as my kids try to navigate the same situations with the same outcome I’ve experienced. Sometimes my advice falls on deaf ears. Many times my kids teach me things and it's a stark realization that is extremely humbling. They must have their own experiences, not mine, that I get to learn from as that too is a vital learning lesson for me. That's extremely rewarding for me.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
In reality, it’s the most important job I’ll ever have regarding rearing my children to adulthood. As a single Dad, I want to succeed and have my kids proud of the job I've done, and hopefully they will carry that on to their own teachings when the times arrives and they have their own kids to raise. It's a circle, isn't it?
How would you use the $25,000?
Being that we play together in a family band, we most definitely would buy some more musical equipment. We also build our own stage props and cabinets so buying more supplies would be incredibly helpful.
