in a world where speed is king. the most rewarding part about being a dad is planting seeds and not knowing exactly when/if they are going to grow. there’s a beauty to cultivating an ecosystem of growth in our household. my kids listen to none of what i say and all of what i do. which leads me to live an hyper intentional life. the most rewarding part is seeing them becoming their most unapologetic authentic selves without having to conform to any box, label, or barrier.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
well as you saw in the intro. i am trying to be something i never seen. i honestly think all of us dads are. the world has never asked more of a man than today. my dad was asked to bring home bacon and that’s it. now we called to lead emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually. my parents split at age 4/5. i didn’t have my father there on a daily basis after that. so i strive to be present even when i don’t feel like it. to show the sacrificial love i see my hero display. Jesus.
How would you use the $25,000?
we bought our home with one kid in mind. we were blessed to have him. we lost 3 previous to having him. but now with 4 under 4. we have already outgrown our townhouse. so we would love to renovate the backyard so the boys an have some more space to run around and do boy things. my beautiful wife has it all mapped out. spacers and new fence. just need the resources to make it all possible.
