Seeing my daughter learn new things and grow into her own person. She is smart, sassy, and full of big ideas. I love supporting the things she’s interested in and finding ways to have fun together. I’m always proud when she shows me a craft she’s spent hours working on, or when she sits down at her keyboard and plays me a new song she’s learned. Those little moments mean a lot to me. It’s amazing watching her figure out who she is and what she loves. Grateful my wife and I get to see her grow.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
The reason I’m here on this earth is to be a dad. Her father passed away, and I know I could never replace him. I would never want to. But I’m grateful for the relationship we’ve built and for the way she treats me like a dad. That means a lot to me, and I don’t take it for granted. I just try to be there for her, listen to her, support her, and encourage her to be herself. I’m not perfect, and I know there is always room to grow and do better. I look forward to what comes next for us.
How would you use the $25,000?
I’d use it to make things a little easier for my family. I’d pay down some debt and put money toward moving to a better neighbourhood. That would give my wife and daughter more security and make things a little more comfortable for all of us. I’d also let my daughter have some fun with it. She’s been wanting a VR headset, so I’d love to surprise her with one. Most importantly, I’d use the money to help give my family a better future and make some good memories together.
