Watching my son become his own little person. Seeing him learn, laugh, grow and even imitate the things I do reminds me how much my presence matters. Being his dad has taught me that fatherhood isn’t about being perfect. It’s about being there. Knowing that I get to help shape the man he’ll become is one of the greatest responsibilities and greatest gifts of my life.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
Because I know what it feels like to need a father’s presence. I want my son to grow up never questioning whether his dad loves him, believes in him or will show up for him. I won’t get everything right, but I want him to remember that his father tried, loved him loudly and stood beside him through every season. I’m not raising him from perfection. I’m raising him from everything I learned I needed as a boy.
How would you use the $25,000?
I’d use the $25,000 to build something that extends beyond my own son. My dream is to create a youth training program where kids can build confidence, discipline and character through boxing and fitness, while giving fathers another way to connect with their children. I’d invest in equipment, space and making the program accessible to families who may not otherwise be able to afford it. I want fatherhood to be part of the legacy I leave behind.
