There are too many to list. The way my 7 year old grabs my hand when she is nervous, to the look my “fearless” 11 year old gives me when she finds me in the crowd after doing something cool in one of her activities. It could also be the heart to heart conversations I have with my 13 year old when we are out hunting, or on any adventure. Any way you cut it, these girls bring out the best in me, and test my patience in ways that make we want to be a better human.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
It is one of the few places in life that pays in visible, obvious dividends. When I give these girls a little confidence, or help guide them in the right direction with a decision, it lights up my heart watching them go into the world as better people than I could ever be. I don’t always get it right, but even then they give me the grace to try again. Investing in them being better people 3xs my energy into making the world a better place.
How would you use the $25,000?
I’d probably take the girls on an adventure. Maybe buy some garage organization items, and pay off the truck if there’s enough left.
