The most rewarding part about being a dad is watching my kids grow into their own unique people and knowing I get to help guide them along the way. Seeing them succeed, learn from mistakes, laugh, and become stronger makes every challenge worth it. More than anything, it’s knowing that being present, loving them, and setting an example can have an impact that lasts long after they’re grown.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
Serving 20 years in the Marine Corps taught me that leadership is about setting the example, being present, and taking care of those entrusted to you. I strive to be the best dad I can be because my children are my greatest responsibility and legacy. I want them to know I’ll always stand beside them, push them to be their best, and give them the love, guidance, and strength they need to face whatever life brings.
How would you use the $25,000?
I’d use the $25,000 to give back to my family for everything they sacrificed during my 20 years in the Marine Corps. They endured deployments, missed holidays, birthdays, and countless moments while I served. I can’t get that time back, but I can use this opportunity to create new memories together, take a meaningful family trip, and give them experiences that celebrate the time we have now.
