The joy of witnessing them develop new skills, get good grades, and teachers/people of the community telling me how beautiful and sweet my kids are. To me it’s all about providing to them and seeing a smile on their face. My job as a funeral director can be sad carrying out a family’s final wishes, but my kids remind me when I get home of how precious life is and how I have to cherish each moment.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I know that one day I have to leave this earth and I want my children to be able to grow up, raise their kids and speak highly of me and be able to pass down values I’ve taught them.
How would you use the $25,000?
I would use a portion of the money to make a down payment on a loan for me to build a brand new home for my family. I would use some to purchase furniture from the local store that supports Demopolis City Schools, and I would also donate towards the churches that are in our area.
