Being a kid again. I get to tap into that naive, lighthearted, graceful and sweet kid that disappeared when life made me a man. The curiosity that made me the person I am is sparked all over again. The adventurous mind that got throttled for business and safety decisions starts to come back. Also being loved unconditionally by something so pure. The admiration and love that radiates from that little human I call son gives me life. It makes me fill with so much more purpose than any endeavor.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
Because I know what its like to look at the person I think is superman and realizing in time he was just a man. That maybe superman wasn't the hero from the movies. That superman was a man that tried day in and day out to make my life happier and fun. Life's challenges and the rainy days will come but how I do anything is how I do everything. That no matter what happens to me, how I treat anyone is a reflection of me. Knowing my son will realize that is what drives me to be better everyday.
How would you use the $25,000?
I would start a high yield savings in his name so he could watch it grow. I would start the fund to buy our first house and always bring up that time we won to get it. I would help other men grow into the father's this world needs. Being of service is the greatest return on investment and the more people I can help when I get help is life's secondary bonus. I am in recovery so I wouldn't be available if it wasnt for the service of others. If I dont give what I get then I dont get to keep it.
