Setting an example of helping others and caring for people and seeing them do things that emulate that without me telling them! I see my daughter becoming so generous with others and having a heart for helping people and I see my son doing the same. Also, working 48 hours straight at the FD, the most rewarding is coming home and seeing my kids light up and give me that big tight hug that lasts forever! That’s everything to me!
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
A few ways. First I strive to love and respect my wife through word and action. That creates an atmosphere of love for my kids and teaches my daughter how she should be treated and teaches my son how he should treat women. Second, I strive to make memories with them through activities over material things and consistently have “dates” with my daughter where we go out and spend one on one time and have “boy days” with my son where he usually chooses fishing.
How would you use the $25,000?
My wife and I bought my parents house to be able to retire them and have them not have to worry about bills anymore. The house is older and needs a lot of work done to it and this money would be used to fix this home and not have to worry about something breaking all the time. My parents took care of me and now it’s time for me to do the same. My wife has also been a champ through all this and she deserves a home too!
