Walking around the grocery store and my son saying, “Dada, I love you” will never get old. I ran a marathon, and they had the finish line camera live on YouTube. My son was watching, and when I got home he came running up to me and gave me a hug and said “Dada, you won!” I definitely did not win the race, but in that moment, yes I absolutely won.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I was blessed with a great childhood with great memories with my dad, from fishing, camping, road trips, going to college football games, etc. and even as an adult, getting life advice from him. I want to be like that. I want my son and daughter to grow up saying they had the best childhood, and have great memories with their dad. Not only do I want them to have great memories, but I want them to be great people, treating everyone with the kindness and respect they deserve.
How would you use the $25,000?
I would pay off the remaining debt we have from the birth of our daughter, and then the rest invest into an account for both of my children’s future college fund.
