The most rewarding part of being a dad is getting a front-row seat to Ada's ever-growing joy. Whether we're on an adventure, in the middle of a tickle fight, or watching Frozen for the millionth time, her smile and contagious laughter just make everything better. I know if science could bottle her laughter it would cure the world, and she reminds me every day that the little moments are actually the big moments. Plus, having a built-in bff who "knows" I am funnier than mom is always a plus.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
Having had an extremely difficult childhood, I consider it my first and most rewarding duty in life to give Ada everything I never had and more. One day Ada won't ask me to carry her, play with pokemon cards, or join her on every adventure. Until then, I'm making the most of every moment to pour everything we have into building a close, loving family. I strive to be the best dad I can be because being her dad is the greatest title I'll ever have even if "Cuddle Monster" is a close second.
How would you use the $25,000?
I'd use the $25,000 to invest in Ada's future/education, fuel more family adventures through travel, and continuing to connect her to her Norwegian Viking roots. We took her to Norway when she was 2 to hike mountains, explore fjords, and meet her Norwegian family. She especially loved the mountainside husky/goat farm and playing with the animals! We all would love more experiences like that. And yes, a small portion may be earmarked for princess dresses and Frozen-related "necessities."
