The most rewarding part of being a dad is knowing I’m the example. My son watches how I treat people, how I work, how I lead, how I show up in the community. He sees me help students transfer, earn degrees, and build their futures. He sees me coach young men and support their families. And he learns from all of it. Being a father gives every part of my life more meaning because I know he’s paying attention, and I want him to be proud of the man I am.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I strive to be the best dad I can be because my son is my whole world. The moment he arrived, everything in my life gained meaning. Every choice I make, every person I help, every young man I coach, it all comes back to him watching me. I want him to grow up knowing he’s protected, guided, and loved by a father who shows up every single day. I want him to see strength, compassion, and integrity, not just hear about it. Being his dad is the greatest honor of my life, and I owe him my best!
How would you use the $25,000?
I’d use the $25,000 to strengthen my family and give back to the community that supports us. First, I’d make sure my son has what he needs to grow, learn, and feel secure. With whatever remains, I’d pour it into the young people I work with by helping families, student‑athletes, and kids who need opportunities. Providing for my home and lifting up my community is what being a Super Dad means to me.
