The most rewarding part is being the one they look to in the good and the bad. After a pin, or being pinned, on the wrestling mat, when my daughter scored her first goal, or my son made an error at second base, they look to me. I give them the security that win or lose, my love is never in question.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
My dad was not present in my life. I know the pain that growing up without a dad can bring to a child and I am blessed to have my own family and that my kids will never know that heartache. I want the legacy of present and invested fathers to be passed on with each new generation to come.
How would you use the $25,000?
My kids are the biggest Ninja Warrior fans. The names of the top athletes are discussed around the dinner table as if they were a part of our family. I would use the $25,000 to build them a backyard course and be able to invite friends and family to come and grow the community of rising ninjas in our town.
