The most rewarding part is seeing the fruit of my sacrificial labor of love and care blossoming in their lives today. Though they have made some decisions and done some things that I don’t approve of as we all have, overall they turned out to get good young adults. Knowing that I played a role in the development of morally sound, resourceful, and intelligent human beings gives me a perpetual reward that money can not buy. I am forever grateful for that because it could be the opposite.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
My reason may be similar to other men. Maybe not. But growing up as a young boy moving into manhood, my father was not present nor active. That experience ingrained in me what I did not what my children to experience and forged a clear path forward for what I wanted my children to experience. I have stood on the foundation of consistently endeavoring to provide, protect, and instill courage in them. Though it has been challenging, my love for them keeps me going.
How would you use the $25,000?
I’d get caught up on a few bills, invest a portion, take a mini vacation with the wife and buy our college student (Our Daughter) a used car. Lastly give a few dollars to a good cause.
