I used to think being a dad meant teaching my children how to navigate the world. Instead, they’ve taught me how to see it differently. They’ve made me more patient, more present, and more grateful for the little moments I once would have rushed past. The most rewarding part is knowing that I get to be one of the people they feel safest with; he person cheering the loudest, showing up, and loving them through every version of who they become. I also get to relive the best parts of my dad too.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
Because one day they will grow up and the way I loved them and their mother will become part of who they are. I want them to remember the man who showed up, kept his promises, worked hard, loved them loudly, and made them feel safe. I won’t always get it right, but I want to give them an example worth carrying into their own families someday. If they grow up knowing they were deeply loved and become the amazing people I know they are destined to be, then I’ll know I did a decent job.
How would you use the $25,000?
With 25,000 dollars I would definitely take my family on a Disney vacation. Then I would put the rest into investing in their futures.
