First I have to say thank you for this honor. I am completely humbled because I know there are so many dads out there! I will do my best to represent! I have 5 kids that span 16 years. The oldest being 29 and has two kids of her own. The youngest being 13. The most rewarding part for me was watching each child come into their own persona, excelling by just being who God made them to be. When your quiver is full of honed arrows it’s a pleasure and super rewarding to let them fly to hit the mark!
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
My first two kids were my wife’s from a previous marriage. When I met her they were ages 6 and 4 so I married into being a dad. I didn’t have to but after meeting them I fell in love with not only their mom but with them as well. I wanted nothing more than to show them, and their mom, how Gods love was meant to be expressed through being a loving father and husband. Ive told all my kids, i’m not perfect. There is only one perfect father, our Father in heaven. But I love them all the same.
How would you use the $25,000?
Mostly giving back to those who’ve helped us through this grueling last year and a half post tornado. Also, with us having children of all different ages and them being at different points in their lives I would like to help them with their own specific needs. And if there is any left over maybe having a family vacation scheduled at a location we can all agree on. Once again, thank you for your consideration.
